Labosystem-Tecnilabo successfully completed the Environmental Research Laboratory (LARA), located within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Naples “Federico II”.
This project demonstrates our expertise in the design and installation of advanced scientific laboratories, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.
Optimised working environments: efficient, safe, and comfortable spaces designed for the management of harmful fumes, acidic vapours, and high temperatures. Safety was a cornerstone, without compromising functionality.
Advanced laboratory technologies: the installation includes innovative extraction systems, chemical fume cupboards highly resistant to aggressive substances, and specific filtration devices for acids. These solutions ensure a protected environment fully compliant with regulations.
Precision and regulatory compliance: every stage of the LARA project followed safety standards and emission guidelines, including alignment with ARPAC, confirming our meticulous attention to detail and reliability.
Analysis and Planning
Thorough site inspections to understand the University’s needs and translate them into a customised configuration.
Ongoing project review to ensure an efficient and functional laboratory for end users.
Design
Creation of effective working environments with a refined design, respecting safety regulations and required spatial needs.
Development of complex extraction systems for the safe handling of harmful fumes and acidic vapours.
Implementation
Supply and installation of Labosystem technical furniture:
“WSPlug” laboratory benches
“Typhoon Twin” chemical fume cupboards (including one for acidic vapours)
Articulated extraction arms for localised suction
Fire-retardant laboratory seating
Careful transport and assembly of equipment, with attention to the existing finishes of the University building.
Connection of gas and extraction systems in line with Labosystem specifications and ARPAC requirements.
Completed in July 2025, after thorough testing of the fume exhaust lines, the LARA Laboratory is now a benchmark for environmental analysis of wastewater and hazardous discharges.
The laboratory provides university researchers with precise tools for advanced studies and for the development of low environmental impact solutions.
