Typhoon Next receives Utility Model Patent for its innovative tilting sash system

Labosystem is proud to announce that its Typhoon Next chemical fume hood has been officially granted a Utility Model Patent under the title “Laboratory Fume Hood”.

The patent  (N. 202024000001198) recognises the originality and technical value of its tilting sash system, a distinctive feature developed by Labosystem-Tecnilabo to enhance both operator safety and ease of maintenance.

In traditional fume hoods, internal areas of the sash and its frame can be difficult to access, making cleaning and sanitisation complex and time-consuming.

Typhoon Next solves this issue by allowing the front glass panel to rotate outwards once fully raised.
This motion makes every surface easily reachable, ensuring a higher level of hygiene. It also provides a wider access opening for the placement of larger or more complex laboratory instruments inside the working chamber.

Beyond the practical advantages, the innovation reflects Labosystem-Tecnilabo’s continuous commitment to designing functional, ergonomic and safe laboratory environments, combining engineering precision with user-centred thinking.

“Innovation for us is never just about technology, it’s about improving how people work” says Tiziano Luraghi, Labosystem-Tecnilabo. “The Utility Model Patent for Typhoon Next confirms our focus on safety, usability and sustainable design, values that have guided our work over the years.”

With this new recognition, Typhoon Next consolidates its position as one of the most advanced chemical fume hoods in its, proudly designed and manufactured in Italy.
